Inspect, Test & Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391) The 2391 course has been upgraded to take account of changes in the 17th Edition. People with original 2391 will not have to re-take it provided they gain 2382-10 (or the 2382-20 Update) within the next 2 years. |

Because the C&G 2382 17th Edition Wiring
Regulations courses cover such a wide scope of electrical
installation (domestic, commercial, leisure, agricultural as
well as industrial), the C&G 17th Edition courses are always a
compromise for industrial clients. Not only do course attendees have
to learn about electrical installations as diverse as swimming
pools, farm buildings & fun-fairs but they have to sit an
exam with a rigid time constraint which is a little unfair to
people who have not sat formal examinations for many years. Even worse, the course does not include any practical assessment. Whilst attendees are tested on their theoretical understanding, the ability to select the correct meter or test instrument, the ability to connect the correct test leads appropriately, how to select the correct range for the meter, where to test & how to interpret the test results are not covered or assessed. Most people agree, knowing the theory is important but proven competence at being able to choose the correct meter or test instrument & being able to use it properly is essential. Our Industrial 17th Edition training course focuses just on the needs of industrial clients & included the all important practical assessment missing from the C&G courses. Also, we do not penalise delegates who may well be good at their job but not used to sitting exams with a strict time penalty. |

| This course covers the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2008) for the Industrial Workplace. Whilst some coverage is given to domestic & commercial installations, much of the material on bathrooms & kitchens, swimming pools & saunas, amusement arcades, fairgrounds & exhibition stands is given light treatment. Instead, we concentrate on the "industrial" aspects of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2008) & Safety but we also include important Practical Competence which the C&G course does not. | |||||||||||||||
